Author Agreement

The Albukhary Social Business Journal (ASBJ) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal operating without any publication fees. It relies on collaborative efforts to maintain integrity and quality.

This Agreement formalizes the collaboration between ASBJ and its Author(s), ensuring a shared commitment to integrity, originality, and a constructive, unbiased review process. The term "Author" refers to the individual(s) submitting the manuscript; all co-authors are equally bound by these terms.

Terms and Conditions

1. Manuscript Submission

  • The Author confirms the manuscript is original, contributes to social business knowledge, and has not been published or considered elsewhere.
  • The Author warrants that all listed individuals meet the criteria for authorship and have given consent for inclusion.
  • The Author agrees to make data available for sharing in accordance with ASBJ policies.

2. Academic Integrity and Ethics

  • All submitted work adheres to the highest academic integrity, regulations, and ethical standards, including necessary approvals.
  • The manuscript is an original work free of plagiarism (unauthorized use of others' work without attribution).
  • The similarity index must remain below twenty percent (20%).
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)-generated content must be limited to 5% or less, and any AI assistance must be fully disclosed.
  • The Author acknowledges that misconduct or plagiarism may result in rejection, withdrawal, and reporting to relevant authorities.

3. Non-Monetary Compensation

  • ASBJ does not offer financial compensation for publications.
  • Authors receive recognition through publication in an open-access format for widespread impact.
  • ASBJ deeply appreciates the significant time and effort contributed by the Author.

4. Copyright and Licensing

  • By submitting, the Author transfers copyright to ASBJ, granting exclusive rights to publish, reproduce, and distribute the manuscript.
  • The work will be published under an open-access license, allowing free access and citation with proper attribution.
  • The Author agrees not to publish the same work elsewhere without written consent from ASBJ.

5. Conflict of Interest

  • Authors must declare any financial, personal, or professional conflicts of interest that could affect the research.
  • There must be no conflict of interest among co-authors contributing to the manuscript.

6. Authorship

  • All listed authors have made significant contributions to the research and writing.
  • Any changes to authorship must be approved by all co-authors, with a written justification submitted to ASBJ.

7. Peer Review

  • The manuscript will undergo peer review, and the Author agrees to cooperate fully with reviewers and editors.
  • The Author agrees to respond promptly to reviewer comments and make necessary corrections.
  • The Author must be open to constructive criticism to align with ASBJ's editorial standards.
  • ASBJ reserves the right to make editorial decisions based on reviewer feedback.

8. Withdrawal Policy

  • The Author may withdraw their manuscript prior to publication by notifying ASBJ in good faith.
  • ASBJ reserves the right to deny withdrawals if unethical practices are suspected.

9. Publication Decision

  • The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection lies solely with ASBJ, based on originality, quality, and contribution to the field.

10. Governing Law

  • This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.
